Multiple Exposure Experiments with VERVAIN @ SPACE 04.23.26
I’d just started playing around with “blind” double exposures a week or so before this show, so when a friend gave me a big bouquet of dried roses it seemed like an obvious opportunity for some experimenting. The roses were shot in our garage against a black backdrop on pushed Cinestill 800T first, then I pulled the film back out with an extractor and took it to the show.
Based on my two previous attempts I was under the impression that I didn’t need to worry too much about loading the film up the same for both set of exposures, which did not turn out to be true. Luckily it ended up working in my favor with these, but you can tell in some of the photos that the shots from the show are overlapping two of roses. Apart from that and some development problems though, pretty successful.
